Walking the walk

In 2019, Perry Hiiman and NYKB participated in a program to ensure schools in NYC are equipped with a proper kitchen so they can prepare fresh food for their students.

One of the schools he worked with was the Storefront Academy in South Bronx, New York.

He and his team not only transformed an empty storage room at the Storefront Academy into a beautiful, high-functioning kitchen, but they also donated all the appliances, equipment and labor.

Our Journey Together

At Circle of Heroes, our core mission is to bolster Israel’s bereaved families by creating a supportive community through human connection, our meaningful circles, and social events. We are committed to transforming the pain of loss into a journey of collective healing and resilience.

Where it all Began

Circle of Heroes was founded to provide a nurturing space for those who have been touched by loss. Here, we believe in the power of community to come together to heal and find strength in times of need. Our founder, Perry Hiiman, who lost his father when he was 9 months old, is the passionate leader of Circle of Heroes. Perry and his wife Shirley have been an active part of the bereaved families community in New York and Israel for many years. In 2024 they decided to deepen their involvement and address specific community needs through exclusive programs, including support circles, women’s wellness circles, social gatherings, holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, and other uplifting activities.
